"WEST SIDE STORY".... This Summer!! (see attachment below)

NJYT, in collaboration with the Morris Museum Bickford Theater and Centenary Stage Company, revives the critically acclaimed, musical masterpiece, West Side Story, originally conceived, directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, with music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Authur Laurents.

This landmark musical transports the immortal Shakespearean story of Romeo and Juliet to the upper west side slums of New York City where the rivalry of two teenage gangs, the Jets and the Sharks, tragically fight over neighborhood turf, and where two young lovers try to survive within this turbulent conflict. The work, masterfully interweaved with song, dance and dramatic action, deals with deadly prejudice and racism, and the transcendence of hope and advocacy for tolerance and respect for all people.
The musical includes such legendary songs as “Tonight,” “Something’s Coming,” “Somewhere,” and “America.”
