Isabella Mancene is a "Hot Box Girl in "Guys and Dolls." You may remember her as Kit Kat Girl, "Helga", in NJYT's 2015 summer production of CABARET. She is a junior at Kent Place and has been taking classes at NJYT for 8 years.
"My favorite thing about theatre is that I can be whatever I want to be. That might sound silly and childish, but if you think about it, it's really not. People are always imagining what it would be like to step into someone else's shoes; with acting, you don't have to imagine anymore."
"GUYS AND DOLLS" is the hilarious, musical comedy and 1950 Broadway Tony Award-winner that became a 1955 film hit of the same name, starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. The musical focuses on the colorful underworld of New Yawk mugs, lugs, dames and broads, including such charismatic characters as the high-rolling gambler Sky Masterson, the beautiful mission doll Sarah Brown, and the petty gambler Nathan Detroit with adorable nightclub dancer Miss Adelaide, his fiancée of 14 years.
