New Jersey Youth Theatre (NJYT), one of the most celebrated and critically acclaimed, youth-theatre companies in New Jersey, will revive one of Broadway's most beloved musicals in an exciting benefit-concert, musically directed by Jack Bender and stage directed by Cynthia Meryl. The engagement will raise funds to support the company's free, professional performance training program, a one of kind in the state (now in its 23rd year) for aspiring, young talent.
This version of "The Music Man" will showcase a twenty-piece onstage band and 30-member cast of NJYT alumni (some now professional actors) and other area talent, many playing multiple roles.
