The National Endowment for the Arts is a public agency dedicated to supporting excellence in the arts, both new and established; bringing the arts to all Americans; and providing leadership in arts education. Established by Congress in 1965 as an independent agency of the federal government, the Endowment is the nation's largest annual funder of the arts, bringing great art to all 50 states, including rural areas, inner cities, and military bases.



The New Jersey Performing Arts Center has garnered national attention in its first eleven seasons, serving as a model for programming, audience diversity, education initiatives, and the catalytic role it has played in returning nightlife and economic activity to NJ's largest urban community. On its Opening Night in 1997, NJPAC became the sixth largest performing arts center in the U.S. (based on annual operating budget).

Discover Jersey Arts (DJA) is a cosponsored project of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and ArtPride New Jersey Foundation working in partnership with other cultural service organizations statewide including the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, South Jersey Cultural Alliance, New Jersey Network and New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism. The project’s mission is to increase the awareness of and participation in the arts in New Jersey.
Through the foresight and generosity of Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge (daughter of William and Almira Rockefeller), the foundation bearing her name was created in 1974. Her will provided for the Trustees to set the policies and direction of the Foundation’s work.For more than 30 years, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation has nurtured people, ideas, and institutions which transcend self-interest and contribute to a sustainable human society and the environment which shelters it.

Created as an agency of state government, the NJSCA operates as a division within the Department of State. Its purpose is to encourage and give financial support to artists, arts organizations and projects throughout New Jersey. We are proud that our support is bringing the benefits of the arts to audiences exceeding 18 million annually.

The Westfield Foundation was founded in 1975 by a group of local citizens led by former Westfield Mayor H. Emerson Thomas. Its mission is to enhance and support the quality of life of the citizens of Westfield. The Foundation is an independent non-profit organization funded entirely by contributions.
Algonquin Arts, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, was founded in 1991 to provide cultural enrichment for residents of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This mission is accomplished by presenting a wide range of arts programming, including dramatic and musical theatre, dance, musical concerts and film representing a diversity of style and cultural influence, film and mixed media presentations.These presentations are offered to the public in the setting of the 540-seat Algonquin Arts Theatre located in Manasquan, New Jersey, which reopened to the public in 1994 following an extensive renovation.
