Drama: The art and technique of Acting. The various levels of drama classes focus on improvisation, character development and scene study.
The beginning levels concentrate on basic skills, technique, losing inhibitions, and the building of confidence as a performer.
Dress Code - Comfortable clothing, rubber-soled shoes.

Students seeking the Intermediate-II/Advanced Acting class are required to audition for the class. Audition Date: October 16, 2009; Audition Requisite: Prepare a one-minute monologue.

Shakespeare Workshop: Recommended for teens and young adults, ages 14+. This series of classes explores the works of Wm. Shakespeare from an actor’s viewpoint. Students are immersed in the heightened language through scene work, text analysis, character development, vocal technique, movement and improvisation. They gain a strong understanding of the classic works of Shakespeare, and flourish in the performing of some of the world’s best known plays, monologues and sonnets by The Bard. Dress Code – Comfortable clothing, rubber-soled shoes.

Theatre Games for Kids: Recommended for children, ages 5 through 7. These unique and fun classes introduce young students to the world of theatre and drama through improvisation, movement, vocal work and classic storytelling techniques. Engaging theatre exercises and games encourage students to take creative risks and explore their world. All aspects of this class promote active listening and inspire each student to use his/her imagination in a proactive way. The students also benefit from working as a team, as well as from the power of telling their own stories. Dress Code – Comfortable clothing, rubber-soled shoes.
